We’re hiring a Programs & Partnerships Manager
As the Programs & Partnerships Manager you will serve as a central hub of communication between executive-level partnership meetings, program planning, and the day to day executing departments of ROŪGE: Theater Reinvented. In this position, you will often be the first and most frequent face to interact with partnering organizations, community groups, and potential arts partners who may seek to collaborate with ROŪGE. Your organizational and personnel skills will go a long way in supporting and complimenting the Executive Producer’s efforts to shape lasting partnerships, communicate day to day administrative work across departments to sculpt and facilitate a human-first way of work for ROŪGE.
Role Responsibilities
At ROŪGE, our operating principles are part of every role. We expect everyone who joins the team to actively shape our culture—living these values in action, conversation, and collaboration.
Role-specific responsibilities:
Serve as the primary owner of day-to-day partnership communication, acting as a warm, reliable, and people-centered point of contact for community partners, artists, educators, venues, and institutional collaborators.
Translate executive-level partnership conversations into clear, actionable next steps by documenting decisions, tracking timelines, and ensuring follow-through across Marketing, Development, Operations, and Production teams.
Own and maintain partnership-related systems and information, in collaboration with the Operations Manager, ensuring contacts, notes, tasks, and timelines are accurate, current, and accessible within ROŪGE’s project management tools.
Cultivate and steward long-term relationships through thoughtful communication and consistent follow-up, ensuring partners feel informed, valued, and supported throughout the lifecycle of each collaboration.
Coordinate grant timelines, gather materials, and support the preparation and completion of project reports and assessments in collaboration with the Executive Producer.
Represent ROŪGE in meetings and community spaces, supporting partner experience, organizational visibility, and opportunities for deeper collaboration.
Collaborate with Executive Leadership to refine internal workflows and coordination practices as ROŪGE grows, balancing clarity, efficiency, and care.
At the end of your first 30 days, you will have:
Supported the communication flow of a full-scale ROŪGE production from load-in through performance, with a clear understanding of how decisions move from conversation to execution.
Established a reliable method for maintaining communication and tracking next steps across the projects you’re supporting.
Learned ROŪGE’s operating systems well enough to use them confidently, including file organization, Notion databases, and project workflows.
Gained clarity on where things live and how systems function by supporting inventory and storage procedures for production and administrative spaces.
Been introduced to the development process of at least one new original play or musical.
Built strong working relationships across the ROŪGE team and with at least one long-time community partner.
Picked up at least one reference that makes perfect sense inside ROŪGE and absolutely none outside of it.
About You
You work in alignment with ROŪGE’s values and operating principles and believe strong partnerships are built through clarity, care, and follow-through.
You are a natural connector who enjoys holding context, building trust, and helping people feel supported. You value relationships and understand that care shows up not just in tone, but in consistency.
You believe that taking care of people means the details matter. Crossed t’s and dotted i’s, clear paperwork, timely follow-ups, and thoughtful communication are part of how you show respect and care for artists, partners, and collaborators.
You’re comfortable moving between big-picture conversations and day-to-day execution, communicating clearly, listening well, and following up with intention. You care deeply about the arts, community, and the people behind the work, and you’re excited to help ROŪGE grow in sustainable, values-driven ways.
Additionally, we’re looking for someone with most of the following:
Experience in community partnerships, program coordination, arts administration, education, or a related field
Strong relationship-building skills and comfort serving as a primary point of contact for a wide spectrum of partners and collaborators
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to synthesize information, follow up clearly, and keep people aligned
A knack for organization and systems thinking, including managing multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders at once
Comfort working in dynamic, fast-moving environments where priorities may shift and collaboration is essential
Familiarity with digital tools used for coordination and communication, such as Notion, Google Workspace, and CRM or project management systems
A collaborative, accountable working style and a genuine interest in supporting artists and communities
