Arts All Over is a small-scale pilot program sponsored by Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs and designed to bring the performing arts, of all genres, to people in their own neighborhoods. This series explores the theme of “home” through theater, music, and dance.

  • Micah Cook

    Micah Cook is ecstatic to be sharing his gifts with the 757! Past Credits include Hairspray (Gilbert), Mamma Mia! (Sky), Dreamgirls (Ensemble, u/s C.C.), Chicago, Dames At Sea (Richard “Dick”), Once on this Island (Daniel Stand-In), the MyBroadwayDreams Foundation’ 2019 NYC Showcase (Featured/Dancer), Bubbly Black Girl... (u/s Gregory). Foremost, he would like to thank God, Jesus, his supportive parents, friends and family, ROŪGE, Patrick Mullins, Janae Thompson, and the terrific Cast; also, thanks to Annette Tanner and the BDF family, and the supportive VA/NYC theatre community.   • Indya Jackson

    Indya is so excited to be apart of such an incredible cast. Her most notable credits include; Diana from Next to Normal, The Wiz from The Wiz, and Martha from The Children's Hour. Indya studied Acting at Florida Atlantic University, where she received her MFA. Indya wants to thank ROŪGE, her family, friends, and especially her mother; for all of their love and encouragement to follow her calling.

  • Ashlee Rey

    Hailing from St. Clair County, IL, Ashlee Rey got her start as Raynell in August Wilson's Fences at the St. Louis Black Rep and continued stage performances throughout high school. Rey has performed in numerous productions here in Hampton Roads, including Iola's Letter as Ida B. Wells at the Little Theater of Norfolk and is the founder of Ms. A. Rey, LLC.

  • Komal Smruti

    Komal Smruti is new to the Hampton Roads theatre scene. She is currently in production for a TV show filming locally, Enigma. She moved here from the NYC metro area where she was a member of TAPNYC (The Actor's Project NYC) a showcase and improv troupe, and holds various TV extra and indie film credits. She looks forward to working with and collaborating with the amazing artists in the 757 and hopes you will see much more of her in the coming years.

  • Anna Sosa

    Anna Sosa is a proud Filipina American born and raised here in Norfolk,VA. She has worked locally and internationally across theater, film, improv comedy and voiceover. You may recognize her from Virginia Strage's production of The Hobbit, where she played Kili and Gollum, and most recently played the title role of Deborah Wallace's newest work Artemis, I. She thanks CORE Theater Ensemble, Push Comedy Theater, TCC's Shakespeare in the Grove, the growing Viewpoints community, and the wonderful theater makers of NSU for empowering underrepresented artists. She earned her BFA in Theater Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University.

  • Leila Stephanie

    Leila Stephanie is a Newport News native who developed her passion for creating live performances as a child performing in Hampton Roads. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Norfolk State University where she was a member of the NSU Players and the NSU Theatre Company. In 2017, Leila obtained her MFA in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art & Design Returning to her hometown, Leila currently serves as programs director for ROŪGE and is an adjunct professor at Christopher Newport University and Old Dominion University. Leila’s performance credits include: The Amen Corner, Dreamgirls, For Colored Girls…, The Whitney Houston Tribute, Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, The Earth Remembers. Directing credits include: Eclipse, The 1940’s Radio Hour, The Intersection with Brittney Harris, All Roads Lead to Home and Sounds like Home.

    ShaaNi Dent

    Soloist - ShaaNi Dent is honored to make her appearance in Rouge theatre playing the role as lead vocalist. She is currently playing the role as the lead in “The Color Purple,” and has recently performed as Tina Turner in “A Queen’s Tribute,” Lorrell Robinson in “DreamGirls”and served as choreographer and ensemble in the musical Pippin.

    She is a graduate of Norfolk State University and is currently teaching as an elementary music teacher, a musical theater teacher for the Urban Renewal Program of Hampton Roads, and serves as a private vocal coach. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support.

  • Corasha Dent

    Corasha Dent

    Soloist - Corasha found her love for performing arts at the young age of 8. During her educational journey at Norfolk State University, she joined the NSU Playmakers now known as The NSU Theatre Company under the direction of Professor Anthony Stockard. She’s performed in various shows like “A Tribute to Whitney Houston” as Cissy Houston, “Dreamgirls” as Effie White, and “The Wiz” as Soprano 1 Ensemble. Corasha has also performed with local theatre companies in the Hampton Roads area such as The Virginia Stage Company and NIVLACO Productions. Corasha is elated to work under the direction of Professor Leila Stephanie. “I give all glory and honor to God, I would like to thank my family for their continued love and support.

  • Elliot Pope, Jr

    Ensemble - Elliott Pope Jr is blessed to be performing in make All Roads Sound Like Home! Notable performances include VMT's production of EVITA (Ensemble), UPAC's production of A Motown Christmas.(Ensemble), as well as The Hurrah Payers productions of All Shook Up (Dennis), and The Lion King: The Experience (Simba). Currently, Elliott is a student at ODU studying cybersecurity. He is grateful to God, Jesus, and his family for their unwavering support along his theatrical journey.

  • Sonae Newsome

    Soloist - Sonae’ Newsome (Ensemble) she is thrilled to be apart of this amazing production Notable Performances include James and the Giant peach(Aunt Spiker), Over the River(Red Riding Hood), Beauty and the Beast (Ensemble) She is grateful for this wonderful opportunity and grateful for her mother’s support.

  • Ariel Lee Velazquez

    Ensemble - Ariel Lee Velazquez is excited to make her debut with Roūge as a background vocalist for, Sounds Like Home. Ariel is a full time Psychiatric Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN). She is currently in school for her Master's in Clinical Psychology. Helping people feel better whether it's through healthcare or entertainment, is her passion. She has participated in several shows at LTVB, including School House Rock Live, Hairspray and Hello Dolly to name a few. Last year she played the role of Ladybug in LTN’s James and the Giant peach. Her other credits include cabarets at various local theaters, like the Z. Ariel is super excited and grateful to be a part of this production. She had a lot of fun working with the Roūge team, cast and band. Lastly, she would like to thank YHWH, her family, friends and her amazing husband, Eduardo, for their unwavering support.

  • Brielle Farrow Lewis

    Ensmble - Brielle Farrow Lewis, is a dynamic vocalist with a passion for using and empowering others to use the gifts given to them by God.

    She is a professional background vocalist (BGV) with the BGV company, ARTiSTRY, which has accompanied artists such as; Leandria Johnson, Jonathan Nelson, Earnest Pugh, Kim Burrell, Bishop Cortez Vaughan and many more.

    She and her amazing husband, Christopher, reside together in Chesapeake, Virginia where they continue to build upon their newly established legacy.

  • Tre' Hill

    Music Director / Keyboard - Tre’ Hill is ecstatic to be a part of this production. Recent production credits include Fame both with Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center, 1940s Radio Hour with the Norfolk State University Theatre Department, Crowns with the Hampton University Theatre Department. He would like to thank his parents and fiancée for their undying support.

  • Jaz Adkins

    Bass Guitar - Jaz Adkins discovered his love of music early in childhood. He began to self-teach himself several instruments before joining the school band. They went on to attend Norfolk State University where he joined the Marching Spartan Legion. Jaz is a multi-instrumentalist and has performed in numerous productions to date. Jaz plans to continue demonstrating their love of music through performance art.

  • Clifford Clark

    Drums / Saxophone - Clifford Clark-Musician. He just finished his run as Walter Lee Younger at Little Theatre of Virginia Beach "A Raisin In The Sun".You may have seen him as well in the back ground of some your favorite films or tv shows such as Fences, Burning Sands on netflix, Harriet, and Tv Ones For my man (season 4 episode 12). Whens he is not acting you can catch him playing drums or recording saxophone for his alternative rock band Emerald Beach.
