Open Sessions: These sessions are part of an ongoing initiative between ROŪGE and The Z to provide a laboratory for performers to dive into fresh techniques, experiment, and collaborate in a no-performance-pressure environment. Each session is led by a guest artist who will facilitate a specialized workshop that leads into exploration of themes and ideas for upcoming shows and performances. This is a chance for us all to connect, so come play—whether you're involved in a show or just curious to explore!

This introductory session led by Indya Jackson will guide participants through the foundational principles of Fitzmaurice Voicework®, focusing on freeing the natural voice and building awareness of breath, body, and sound. Through a series of guided exercises, participants will explore the connection between physical release and vocal expression.
Ideal for performers, speakers, and anyone interested in developing a more connected, expressive, and supported voice.

This high-energy session led by Jordan Setzer is designed to help performers navigate the intensity and unpredictability of musical theater dance auditions with confidence and clarity. Participants will build skills in quickly learning choreography, committing fully to performance choices, and recovering seamlessly from mistakes. The workshop emphasizes musicality, presence, and making bold, castable choices under pressure.
