Eligibility

• Must be 18 years of age, or older

• Must be the sole author of the creative piece you are developing, and the exclusive owner of all rights to the play.

  • You may submit an original or adapted work, provided that the rights to any material not in the public domain have been granted in writing and a copy of the release is submitted with your script.

• We will not accept any project summaries, directives, or example material that has been generated, directed, or shaped, in part or in whole, by any Artificial Intelligence system, including LLMs and AI agents. This policy is a clarification that AI or LLM generated work is not authored by an individual and therefore ineligible for submission.

• Cast size: Please note that the maximum cast size  is 8 total actors per play. We will not accept or consider plays that require 9 or more actors. We find that plays that require 2-6 actors are the most successful. With the limited amount of time to work with the written piece and actors before the presentation, it is our recommendation that smaller casts will see the most significant success.

• Submitted concepts or works in progress cannot have had a professional presentation, license, or option prior to July 31, 2027

• Must be available for all hours and days of the retreat

• Please note that all resident playwrights and actors are required to submit a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen test within 24 hours of their arrival to the residency.
